Company Rebranding and Universe Expansion


OBJECTIVE

Select a dead, dying, or defunct brand and identify its essence—the reason to the brand's existence as well as what they aim to do. Revitalize the brand by developing a fresh visual identity which includes a new color palette, graphic elements, and logo design. Develop a new set of brand guidelines to be used when the brand is displayed. Expand the brand's universe by extending it into new territories in order to open the brand to a new demographic, all while remaining true to its original soul.

APPROACH

Memorex is brand that aims to create realistic experiences for its audience which are indistinguishable from reality. Previously, Memorex has been known for creating recordable media products which include cassette tapes and compact discs, and noted that their quality of sound from these products is just as good as listening it to it live. The future direction still involves creating realistic experiences, but aims to tackle all of the human senses rather than just the sense of hearing.
