Capturing the Essence of Hands-on Play
OBJECTIVE
To establish a consistent photographic style which highlights key features of the Osmo experience—from the moment of unboxing to gameplay. These photos are intended to not only provide parents with an understanding of children’s initial reactions to Osmo, but also paint a clear picture of how the product and all of the elements within the system are used. The photos should present a premium look and feel by highlighting the details of the hardware, while also featuring the playfulness of the Osmo games and brand.
APPROACH
The first category of images includes kids’ expressions, capturing candid moments and their reactions to seeing Osmo for the first time. The second category includes interaction shots which show kids using the product, such as setting up the system as well as holding and sliding pieces to play. The third category includes product beauty shots, where the focus is on everything but the screen. These shots highlight the color, dimension, and playfulness of the hardware included with each Osmo game.
